I'm not 100% positive on this, but from what I have read, the plant will stay alive for as long as you care for it, like any other plant. Not much difference in this than your grandmothers house plant. Except you didnt smoke those. I hope _________________ "Of All The Thing's I've Lost, My Mind I Miss The Most" |

cannabis is in the Annual family of plants. its life cycle will end when frosts come, and it must be replanted the following year.
if a plants root system is stunted due to rootbound, the plant can stop growing. if the plant gets nutrient lockout and stops taking up nutrients, the plant can stop growing.
once the cannabis plant begins to flower, its vertical growth stops as it matures. _________________ "An ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure."

Jackel, if your growing indoors, and you don't have to worry of the frost issue, could you somehow do your harvest, and then let the plant continue to grow and harvest again. I've heard you can do this, but I figure that if anyone would know you would. _________________ "Of All The Thing's I've Lost, My Mind I Miss The Most" |

yes its called revegetating. u leave some small buds and leaves on the plant to continue photosynthasis and put ur lights back on 24hours or light. it takes a while for the plant to reveg though. _________________ "An ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure."

Cool, I'm going to have to give it a go and see what happen's. Now will the reveg cause the bud, the second go around to be of a lower THC content than the original harvest or should the content be about the same concidering it is coming from the same plant/strain. _________________ "Of All The Thing's I've Lost, My Mind I Miss The Most" |

Now would I want to transplant a couple of plants into 5 gallon buckets after the harvest and leave a few bud on them and then transplant or would I go ahead and transplant now. And again, thanks. _________________ "Of All The Thing's I've Lost, My Mind I Miss The Most" |

depends how big the plants are to begin with. its possible to cut the roots too. iv done it, and it can be done, but u do run a risk of stunting and shocking the plants. _________________ "An ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure."

the plants are on average of 4' tall, and bushy. they are in 3 gallon container's at the moment. Also, the soil that I have in the pot's now feeding the plants, after harvest, do I trash the soil or can it be used again but mixed with new to revitalize it with fresh nutrients. If I can find my memory card, I will get some pic's up. Now I just need to find my memory to find my memory card. _________________ "Of All The Thing's I've Lost, My Mind I Miss The Most" |
